I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with years of experience evaluating thousands of newborns and guiding families through postpartum health. But my deepest credential is that I am Avery’s mom.

I lost my 3.5-month-old son, Avery. In the devastating weeks following his death, I suffered from severe bereavement mastitis. Lying on the floor of his empty nursery in physical and emotional agony, I realized that specialized, trauma-informed clinical care for grieving mothers simply did not exist in the United States.

I entirely rebuilt Lemon Lactation to ensure that no other mother has to suffer through the physical echoes of loss in isolation. I combine high-level clinical expertise with the deep empathy of a mother who has walked this exact path.
